Shannon Missimer
Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Trauma Aware Breath Coach
Shannon is a dedicated certified breathwork facilitator who specializes in guiding individuals on a journey of self-discovery and healing through the power of breath. She began her personal experience with breathwork in 2021 and deepened her practice by receiving her Pranayama breathwork certification in 2023. That same year, she and her family spent five transformative months in Costa Rica, where Shannon engaged in 18 weeks of intensive one-on-one work with a breathwork facilitator. This experience allowed her to gain a profound understanding of holotropic (“moving towards wholeness”) and conscious connected breathing, equipping her to support individuals through all levels of breathwork experiences.
Shannon’s expertise is complemented by her extensive training in holistic practices. She is a a Certified Breathwork Facilitator with additional Trauma Aware Breath Coach Training, a certified Master level mindfulness practitioner, and an intentional lifestyle guide. This diverse background allows her to integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and intentional living into a cohesive practice that addresses the unique needs of each client.
In her sessions, Shannon blends her knowledge of mindfulness and breathwork with a warm, approachable demeanor that puts clients at ease. Her holistic approach is rooted in the belief that true healing and personal growth come from within, and she is passionate about helping her clients tap into their inner resources to achieve lasting transformation.
Shannon offers a range of services, including Group Breathwork Classes, one-on-one breathwork sessions, and holistic wellness workshops. Her clients appreciate her down-to-earth style, her ability to create a safe and nurturing space, and her commitment to helping them achieve a more balanced and intentional life.
Drawing from her own transformative journey with intentional gratitude and presence, Shannon founded The Motion of Gratitude with the mission to help individuals and organizations experience the profound impact of these practices in their lives. Shannon also hosts The Motion of Gratitude podcast, where she shares personal insights, practical tools, and engaging conversations with individuals and businesses who have embraced the belief that there is more to life than just “going through the motions”.
